Column Input Board

The Column Input Board is used with the Matrix Input Board], and provides eight switch positions with diodes. It can be wired for push buttons, DIP-switches, or a (powered) connector. With the proper receiver board, the connector could be wired to an opto-board.

Column Input Board

Note that not all connectors can be populated at the same time. Populate what you need.

Column Connector (J9)

The board must be connected to a column of a matrix board.

  1. COL — Column
  2. ROW0 — Row 0
  3. ROW1 — Row 1
  4. ROW2 — Row 2
  5. ROW3 — Row 3
  6. ROW4 — Row 4
  7. ROW5 — Row 5
  8. ROW6 — Row 6
  9. ROW7 — Row 7

Switch Connectors (J0-J7)

Each switch connector can be wired for a push button switch, or a 4-pin connector with this pin-out:

  1. IN — Switch input
  2. OUT — Switch output
  3. VCC — Power
  4. GND — Ground

Short IN to OUT to engage the switch. The connection is already protected through a diode.

Power Connector (J8)

The power connector is optional. It has the following pin-out:

  1. VCC — Power
  2. (not connected)
  3. GND — Ground
  4. GND — Ground
